Aims: This study aimed at examining the effect of caricature on the score of family counseling in the internship training unit and the degree of satisfaction of the trainers of the internship unit from the performance of speech therapy students in Ahvaz.
Materials & Methods: The population of the study consisted of 74 students of the 5th semester of speech therapy of Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences admitted to the university during 2013 to 2016 divided into two groups. The first group consisted of 39 students (2013 and 2014) and had passed patient counseling with the conventional method, the second group included 35 students (2015 and 2016) and had spent patient counseling of the speech disorder course with the help of caricatures. At the end each semester, trainers in both groups scored their satisfaction with the students’ performance, using a 4-degree qualitative scale, the internship scores of both groups were recorded.
Findings: The mean and standard deviation for the internship of students, who passed patient counseling using caricatures was 18.92±0.70, and for the students, who studied the voice topic with the traditional method was 14.84±1.05. Independent t-test showed the significance of this difference between the two groups (p<0.001). 90% of the trainers acknowledged that teaching with caricatures is more effective than the conventional teaching for offering counseling service to patients.
Conclusion: The use of caricatures in classroom has led to an increase in the ability of students to consult a patient with voice disorder. It also leads to increased satisfaction of internship trainers.
</Abstract>

Aims: Despite the high incidence of wrong ways to wear a backpack in students, the relevant musculoskeletal complications, and the effective role of health education in modification of this behavior, there is no standard questionnaire in this regard in Iran. The aim of this study was to assess the psychometric evaluation of a questionnaire on backpack carrying among female high school students.
Instruments & Methods: The questionnaire on how female high school students carry their backpack in Babolsar, Mazandaran province included 31 items for knowledge (12 items), attitude (10 items), and behavior (9 items) derived from evidenced literature. This questionnaire was evaluated in terms of content and face validity and reliability through internal consistency and stability in 2018. The qualitative and quantitative content validity was evaluated by the panel of experts through Content Validity Index (CVI) and Content Validity Ratio (CVR). Qualitative and quantitative face validity was assessed by the students’ views and measuring impact score, respectively. Internal consistency and stability were measured by Cronbach’s alpha and Intraclass Correlation Coefficient, respectively. Data were analyzed by SPSS 21.
Findings: The results of CVI (0.9-1), CVR (0.8-1), and impact score (2.5-3) were acceptable for the whole scale. Qualitative content and face validity was favorable. Cronbach’s alpha coefficients were appropriate for the whole scale (0.77) and of knowledge (0.68), attitude (0.8), and behavior (0.77). The interclass correlation coefficient for the whole questionnaire (0.68) and the domains of knowledge (0.61), attitude (0.71), and behavior (0.72) indicated that the questionnaire was acceptable.
Conclusion: The study showed the validity and reliability of the health questionnaire on carrying backpack among female high school students. However, more researches should be done to verify this questionnaire for measuring knowledge, attitude, and behavior regarding backpack carrying.

Aims: Nowadays, with the advancement of life and more use of computers, musculoskeletal pains and disorders in computer users have also increased. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the status of musculoskeletal pains and disorders of computer users in health care providers working in comprehensive health centers of Sirjan.
Instruments & Methods: In this descriptive-analytical study, 110 health care providers working in comprehensive health centers of Sirjan were selected through simple random sampling. In order to evaluate musculoskeletal discomfort and pains, a Nordic questionnaire was used and a body map was used to determine the location of pain. Data analysis was performed, using SPSS software.
Findings: According to the findings, the highest pain and discomfort in neck was observed in 46.4% and, then, the pain in the shoulder region was 12.7%. In the lower limb, the most pain was reported in the waist with 18.2% and the least pain was reported in left wrist, both elbows and ankle.
Conclusion: Musculoskeletal discomforts are clearly seen in computer users; more discomforts and pains are observed in the upper body, especially in the neck and shoulders, and in most cases, this pain does not come from a particular illness or discomfort. Further studies are suggested to determine the status and non-ergonomic points of work in these individuals.

Aims: In this study we examined the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in oral organs assessment training in speech therapy students.
Method: The population of this study included 35 fifth term students of speech therapy in Jundishapur Medical Science University of Ahvaz. The first group was 18 students entering university in 1394 passed oral function assessment course through traditional training method. The second group was 17 students entering university in 1395 passed this course through traditional training method with Virtual Reality. 3D (Three-Dimensional) glasses and a monitor are the tools applied in Virtual Reality technique allowing the student to touch the oral organs and experience various oral functions recognition.
Findings: The first group was 20-22 years old (20.35±2.14) and the second group was 20-22 years old (20.18±3.06). The mean and standard deviation of the final score in students used Virtual Reality was 18.57±1.31 and for the students used traditional method were 14.35±2.15. Independent-T test showed a meaningful difference between the two groups (p<0.001).
Discussion: Using Virtual Reality in classroom resulted in an increase in students' scores. Hence taking into account the great importance of teaching method, its effect on the society and health organization, it is necessary for the education system to use a technology which increases teaching quality and creates more effective learning in students.

Osteoporosis, which is known as a silent epidemic, the most common bone disease in humans, representing a major public health problem worldwide. At least, 1 in 3 women and 1 in 5 men over the age of 50 will suffer a fracture resulting by weak bones impacting the quality of life and the independence of millions of people. Osteoporosis is considered a health problem in the Middle East countries including Iran. The level of awareness about osteoporosis among people and health care professionals are estimated not enough in many countries. Considering the importance of awareness about prevention and self-care behaviors of osteoporosis and in order to promote people's health literacy about this issue, the World Osteoporosis Day (WOD) was launched on October 20 International Osteoporosis Foundation (IOF). The WOD marks the launch of a year-long campaign to raising health literacy and awareness of the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of osteoporosis and metabolic bone disorder. It aims at putting bone health on the global health agenda and reaching out to policymakers, health providers and experts, the media, and the public. These campaigns involve patient societies around the world and have played an important role in raising public health literacy and awareness of bone health and the importance of preventing osteoporosis and fracture. Despite recording WOD in Iranian official calendar and public awareness programs regarding the prevention, self-care, diagnosis, and management of osteoporosis and fragility fractures of it in our country, they need to be strengthened.
